The programmable logic controller(PLC) has been widely used in the texturing machine control system with the development of intelligent control, large-scale and digitalization of the control system. Through the expansion of IO, as the core of information collection and program processing unit, PLC complete the multi-point temperature control, wire drawing constant speed control, wire-cutting control, and output statistics. Most of the wire-cutting control part adopts embedded control board, which is called "wire-cutting control board" in the industry. At present, it still uses single board computer or single-chip system. In view of the market demand, the wire-cutting control part needs to add the multi-wire-cutting function,length-weight function, and input anti-shake function, but the wire-cutting control board has limited resources of software and hardware, limited of using range, bad versatility, bad compatibility, difficult to upgrade, and high cost, it is difficult to handle the above requirement. This also becomes one of important problems which the jumper control system needs to solve urgently.In order to solve the problems above, this paper chooses NCC2040 from DCCE as the hardware platform, researches the IEC61131-3 standard, and realizes the software development of the programmable control platform, including the hardware architecture,drives, user program scheduling, program download and upload, variable management,command store, network communication management and other functions. The programmable control platform supports the ladder programming language witch base on the IEC61131-3 standard, provides users with an open programmable environment, supports the Modbus protocol, achieve data exchange with the high layer unit to meet the requirement of real-time and intelligent control.Achieving the design and development of control program logic for the length-cutting control by ladder programming language base on the programmable control platform.Including timing cutting, wire input cutting, PU protect cutting, prohibit cutting, multi-wire cutting, input anti-shake, channel disable and enable etc. Open all functions of the control interface for the higher layer unit to access. The length-cutting control program is designed with modularization idea, good versatility, simple operation, easy to develop. It is convenient for engineers to upgrade and re-design, and it can realize the requirement of control system without the cost of development.From the result of design, the length-cutting control system base on the programmable technology, can complete the existing functions and extend functions of the original wire-cutting control board, and can fix the shortcomings of existing wire-cutting control system. At present the programmable wire-cutting control panel which is designed, has been mass production, is widely applied to the scene, passed the acceptance of the manufacturers.
