Exploration And Research On The Packaging Of Moon Cake

As an important part of Chinese traditional festival, Mid-Autumn festival has become the important method and the way of spreading Chinese culture. Folk habit of celebrating the Mid-Autumn festival has a long history in China, after years of development and evolution, the enthusiasm of the people celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival does not decline, which derived from a variety of folk activities and traditional food. Moon cake is the one of the most important typical food, no matter how times change, over the years, The habit of eating mooncake in Mid-Autumn festival has not changed, When the Mid-Autumn festival is coming, there are varieties of moon cakes,which make us feel surprise.The moon cake packaging design as the important way of the traditional culture,there have been some outstanding problems which caused many culture scholars and packaging designer’s thinking. Packaging waste is one of the most prominent problem.With the development of science and technology, many moon cakes manufacturers attach great importance on the moon cake packaging design to grab market opportunities, but the moon cake packaging design is too trival which take up the ratio of the production cost is too high, This phenomenon caused dissatisfaction of consumers. In this paper, the main purpose is that search the root of the problem and put forward specific solutions from different angles to explore the moon cake packaging design of new ideas and new methods.The moon cake packaging design as an important part in the field of visual communication, packaging designers should explore new methods to endow them with new cultural features. From the method of design, specifications, materials, patterns,colour to find feasible strategy, This paper collected many new cases which designed by emerging designers which aims to explore a feasible way to develop it.
