Research Of Mooncake Packaging Reduction Design

Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival of China,and the mooncake is the specialty food eaten during it.Correspondingly,the produce packaging of moon cake plays an significant role for inheriting Chinese traditional culture.Nowadays,as China is becoming increasingly affluent,the moon cake is more and more used for delivery of affection,friendship and consideration.In this case,its packaging is required to highlight the special function and emotion.However,in the seriously market competition environment,many manufacturers employ the packaging to make excessive profits,resulting in a rampant abuse of fake,big and empty packaging.The whole society has been focusing on solving the abuse of moon cake packaging for many years.It is believed that this problem can only be solved from its origin point by clarifying the design concept and target,and the process should be guide by a method to reduce material quantity.This research will facilitate building a conservation-oriented society,preventing excessive packing,and improving the satisfaction of consumers.The design of reducing material quantity of moon cake packaging is studied from the aspects of design science,culturology and consumer psychology,involving field investigation,comparative and multi-disciplinary methods.By discussing on the current problems and disadvantages of mooncake packaging,the authors explored the innovation strategy and method of mooncake packaging under the folk culture background of the mid-autumn festival.This research put forward that the design should be problem oriented,and in accordance with the green packaging design ideas.Meanwhile,by applying the strategy of reducing packaging material,the extent of employing packaging design is determined.This research also indicates that moon cake packaging reduction design should start from the perspective of sustainable development.By the means of the optimization function,simplified structure and decoration,material reduction,energy reduction and pollution reduction methods,the green packaging design can be effectively achieved.In this case,moon cake packaging is capable of spreading Chinese culture,and meanwhile act as a design model of ecological civilization and promote social sustainable development.
