The characteristics of China economic development is the heavy chemical industry as the main body, high material consumption and high energy consumption industries which includes iron and steel, electric power, cement and carbon black grow fastest and cause serious pollution,. Basing on those situations, comprehensive means to atmospheric pollution: first, change the energy structure of our country and develop clean energy; secondly, use emissions of soot filtration technology to control pollutants. Bag dust remover is one of the most economic and the most effective method of dust filtering. The core of bag dust remover is the filter, so the study on the performance of filter is an important subject. The study focused on the filter “efficiency and reduction” and cooperated with Shandong Xinli company of producing environmental protection material.In this paper, we analyzed the causes of the filter material wear, corrosion, burning. According to the characteristics of smoke in actual operating conditions, we selected fibers, required strictly of the spreading process, adjusted production process and developed of four kinds of fiber needle punched composite materials which include three kinds of uniform structure materials and one kind of gradient structure material. The surface of the filter material is made of high density with superfine glass to form sparseness structure after close structure. In this paper, we tested the weight, thickness, strength, and filtration resistance and efficiency of the four filters, in order to provide reference for the future research.The experimental results show: Under the same test condition and the surface of the material with superfine glass fiber, most dusts are intercepted, only a few dusts will enter inside the filter, so the dusts won’t clog filter, filter pressure loss will not raise quickly, the operation is stable. Because the new gradient structure filter intercepts the most dust in the surface resistance, it has high collection efficiency. The new gradient structure composite material is special in the organizational structure, so it has high efficiency and low resistance. The structure is stable, the service life is long and the cost is low. The research shows that the new structure filter can realize that the gas emissions of coal-fired boiler reach the standard.
