Grinding is an important part of mineral processing. Grinding operational control facing grinding size optimization is critical for ensuring the production of mineral concentrate grade and metal recovery ratio. In industry field, it needs debugging before putting the grinding process control software into operation and achieving its control objective. This debugging process needs a long time, high cost and maybe creates risk. Supported by the National Science and Technology Supporting Program "Advanced Control Technology of Whole production Line of Mineral Processing"(2012BAF193t01), combining the semi-physical simulation platform of State Key Laboratory of Comprehensive Process Industry Automation, this paper discusses technologies related on the grinding process operational control software, designs and develops an experiment platform for grinding process operational control software, in order to provide an auxiliary support for the further study and industry application of grinding process control software. This experiment platform can make the operation easier and simulate a variety of operating conditions.This paper includes the following aspects:(1) According to the characteristics of grinding process operation control, summing up the problem description and basic functional requirements analysis of grinding process operational control software, this paper proposes an experiment method which is based on human-machine interaction, and discusses how to design experiment conditions of grinding process control in detail.(2) Considering grinding process operational control software as experiment object which is running on the semi-physical simulation platform, this paper designs the overall structure of the experiment platform for grinding process operational control software, including experiment conditions configuration module, experiment conditions loading module, management module of experiment process, experiment data processing and analysis modules, HMI interface modules and communication interface module. On the basis of the experiment platform,the experimenter can load experiment conditions automatically, control experiment process, collect and analyze experiment dates, and generate a experiment report finally.(3) Based on the development environment of Rockwell’s RSView32 configuration software tools, using MATLAB software tools, this paper develops the experiment platform for grinding process operational control software.(4) Relying on the semi-physical simulation experiment platform of grinding process, the paper carries out an experiment research, the experiment result shows the effectiveness and maneuverability of experiment platform of operational control software.
