Research On College Students Of Chinese Traditional Costume Culture Identity And Its Relationship With The Self-Consciousness

Based on college students’ cognitive characteristics, the Chinese traditional costume culture identity scale compiled by Wang Yu(2014) is revised and the college students scale of Chinese traditional costume culture identity is formed. The research hypothesis is proposed and the theoretical model is built, which are on the basis of the discussion of the relationship between students’ self-consciousness type and Chinese traditional costume culture identity and its influence mechanism. The self-consciousness scale translated and revised by Jiang Can(2007) and the college students scale of Chinese traditional costume culture identity are used for empirical research. The results show that:(1) The college students scale of Chinese traditional costume culture identity has good reliability and validity, with 21 items and three factors, which are “behavior and intention”, “cognition and proud”,“ personality and emotion”. College students have the highest score on " cognition and proud “factor, and the lowest score on “behavior and intention " factor. The female college students scored higher than male college students. Undergraduates are significantly higher than others on the “behavior and intention” and" cognition and proud “.(2) According to each dimension score of the college students’ self consciousness, they are divided into five types, which are "sensitive anxious", "personality leading", "self-indifferent“, ”reasonable balance“, ” social unrest". There exist significant differences between different types of college students. "Sensitive anxious" and” reasonable balance“are the most positive and "self-indifferent“are the least.(3) The college students’ self-consciousness has a significant influence on Chinese traditional costume culture identity, in which "self-reflectiveness" has significantly positive influence on “behavior and intention”, “cognition and proud” and “ personality and emotion”; ”internal state awareness” has significantly positive influence on “cognition and proud” and “ personality and emotion”; “style consciousness” has significantly positive influence on “cognition and proud” and “ personality and emotion”; “appearance consciousness” has significantly positive influence on “behavior and intention”; “social anxiety” has significantly positive influence on “cognition and proud”.
