Aiming at the existence of mine hoist wire rope tension overload, unbalance, through a large number of field investigation and research for the multi rope friction hoist, we design a hoist wire rope tension monitoring system. This paper mainly introduces the design of the tension sensor for the system, and develops a device which apply to the load of tension sensor calibration.Tension sensor base on the mechanical stress, which is composed of elastomer, the guide plate and fixed plate, its appearance and structure are similar to the briquetting, and it is embedded in the balancing suspension device, by using the balancing suspension device, the pulling force of the wire rope transform for the measurement of pressure to the sensor. Its structure does not change the structure of the original balance suspension device as well does not affect the function of the automatic balance for wire rope tension.According to the measuring principle for the tension sensor, force measuring device base on the swap technology between the standard of sensor and sensor under test, not only realizing the calibration of sensor, but also testing monitoring system. The strain state of tension sensor is simulated, and the sensor is regulated. Through the analysis of the experiment data to sensor calibration, showing that tension sensor linearity is good, the measurement error is small, contenting the requirement of mine, and proving the practicability of force measuring device.Finally, through the practical application of the industry, it is proved that the system can accurately reflect the tension of each wire rope, the performance is stable, the test precision is high. At the same time, it also shows that the test error caused by the calibration of the sensor is smaller than the field calibration, further verified the practical value of the force measuring device.
