Surface deep bench blasting widely used in mining, railways, roads, water utilities and other projects. According to incomplete statistics, China in recent years, the use of open pit mining bench blasting proportion increases every year. The proportion of bench blasting using in open pit mining increases every year. Thereby increasing the effective utilization of explosive energy, improving blasting results, have good research value and practical significance.The paper, Xiaotun Nanshan limestone mine for the study, is solving mine loose at the bottom of muckpile and the low efficiency of shovel problems. In the field of research and data collection on the problems. According to the bench blasting effect factors, find the way that changing the position of mine detonating to improve blasting effect, while solving the problem, show the superiority of the hole bottom detonation by experiments. In this paper, using high-speed cameras to record the blasting process, and use MAS software to analyze different positions initiation’s crushing process of bench rocks. Depending on the location of the body detonated, blasting experiments in three programs:Central blasting plan, program initiation bottom of the hole, two detonating program.First, the theoretical analysis, focusing on the hole bottom detonating mechanism. Then using the high-speed camera to recorded the process of the experiments, using MAS software dispose video processing to extract the data, the data processing steps from the first movement position of the slope, the step motion profile slope, the measuring point’s speed of different time, were analyzed. According to the actual situation of blasting and the theory of bottom detonating to analyze effect of blasting of different scenarios. Providing a practical basis that bottom of the hole blasting can improve the effect of blasting. After the explosion, we can see the displacement change of the bench rock mass, the velocity and its variation during exercise three blasting plan.Through the calibration of the on-site shoveling efficiency in bottom hole blasting scheme and central blasting scheme, arriving that bottom hole blasting have better effect in broking the bench rocks, and the rock shovel efficiency in the bottom of rock pile is improved by 17%. Experimental analysis were made in two point blasting scheme of high bench, and point out it’s deficiencies and pointing out that when the primer are arranged at the bottom and central level of the blasting hole can achieve better results.Through research, determined the mining blasting scheme of initiating at the bottom of the hole, solved the problem that the friability at the bottom of the muckpile is insufficient in the mine production and the problem of low loading efficiency. Besides, putted forward the improvement on the initiation of body position of local high level. Experiments proved that the hole bottom initiation could improve blasting effects and increase the friability of the muckpile.
