| As the semi-synthetic cutting fluids has good performance in cleaning and cooling, it is becoming widely used in metal processing, and will gradually replace oil-based cutting fluids. In particular, the superiority of water-based semi-synthetic cutting fluids is more prominent, compared with the traditional mineral oil emulsion and oil-based cutting fluid, water-based semi-synthetic cutting fluids is completely free of mechanical oil. It s performance of cleaning, rust resistance, cooling, processing visibility, anti-bacterial, biodegra-dable and stability have significant features. In the near future, it will have a wide rang of applications at home and abroad.This semi-synthetic cutting fluids is composed of mineral oilã€extreme pressure, lubricant, oil agent, emulsifierã€cleaner, anti-rust and water. Performance of it is carried out in this experiment. Mixture was heated with stirring to form a stable colloidal system and its performance was studied. By lubricating performance the mass fraction of 0.5% of the semi-synthetic cutting fluids is tested to determine the best response ratio:mineral oil: extreme pressure lubricant:oil agent:emulsifier:cleaner:anti-rust:water= 13:26:2.5:6.5:5:20.Testing standards of technical quality indicators according to JB/T 7453-94 is evaluated on appearance, storage stability, pH, surface tension, hot and humid and corrosive, neutral salt spray test, rust, lubricity of self-made cutting fluids. We find that the appearance of it is no precipitation and no stratification. it is uniformã€transparent and have good storage stability. Its pH is about 9.5. The surface tension of it is approximately 27.22mN/m. corrosion experiments A and rust experiment A. The friction coefficient of it is 0.0491, meeting the re-quirements of the JB/T 7453-94 and the actual application requirements.The preparation technology has the advantages of low cost, product performance is good, has a good application prospect. |
