| Woolens are one of the most popular textiles. As people are increasingly demanding in the quality of woolens and energy crisis is emerging in recent years, the disadvantages of traditional boiling dyeing has been more and more. The high consumption of energy and the damage to wool fiber in the circumstance of high temperature are the urgent two problems to be solved. In response to the energy crisis since the 21 st century, the government has made the policy that energy conservation and emissions reduction to adjust the energy structure. While, low temperature dyeing of wool can reduce energy consumption, and also can reduce the damage to wool fiber. Then, due to the restrictions about low temperature dyeing in the actual production, mature dyeing is less.In this paper, Monoethanlo Amine(MEA) pretreatment with tween-80 low temperature dyeing can reduce dyeing temperature to 80 degrees for dyeing with Lanasol reactive dyes used for dyeing wool. With single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment, we optimized the dyeing, and compared the dye-uptake, K/S, dry and wet rubbing fastness improving and fiber strength in low temperature dyeing with those in boiling dyeing. It shows that this dyeing can absolutely realize low temperature dyeing, and get to the requirements of boiling dyeing. The best pretreatment process is that the dosage of MEA is 5g/L at 50 degrees for 30 min. The best dosage of Tween-80 is 1g/L at 80 degrees. We use experiments to analysis the mechanism of this low temperature dyeing. We use FTIR, XRD and TG/DTG to analysis the MEA’s influence on the structure of wool fiber, use absorbency to analysis tween-80’s influence on dyeing liquor, use the dyeing rate curves to analysis the influence of MEA and tween-80 on the wool’s ability to absorb dye. The experiments show that MEA has less damage on wool fiber, and it has a certain influence about precipitation and dissolution on lipid materials of the wool fiber surface, as well as, it can promote the spread of the dye within the fiber. In this dyeing, wool generates new amine specific site to promote dye combine with fiber. Meanwhile, it promotes the degree of crystallmity and the thermostability of wool fiber. Tween-80 as non-ionic surfactants has a influence of emulsification and dispersion on dyeing liquor. It can be reduces the absorbance of dyeing liquor with the low Low concentration of Tween-80. With depolymerization of dye, it promotes dyeing fiber to spread into the fiber. The dyeing rate curves show that the dye uptake rate of the initial stage has been improved by the Tween-80. The MEA pretreatment and Tween-80 promoted the dyeing at the same time, so achieve the low temperature dyeing. |
