The main heat source of the tobacco curing barn in China is coal or oil fired boiler, some of them are even distributed heat sources. The baking system not only has a low heat utilization rate, but also high emissions, seriously polluted the air environment. Solar is a clean renewable energy and there are several solar energy flue-cured tobacco project at present, but there are no studies combined with thermal oil furnace heating. The purpose of this project is to research the solar energy assisted curing tobacco leaves system which is combined with thermal oil furnace heating, and design the control scheme of the system. This study provides a reference for the practical engineering of solar assisted curing tobacco leaves in the future.According to the solar energy resources and meteorological date of Baicheng area in Jilin Province, the required quantity of heat in the various stages of the company′s tobacco curing cycle and the central heating tobacco baking mode, we designed closed solar assisted curing tobacco system and open-type solar assisted curing tobacco system. In the process, we design the system from the following aspects, such as the type and composition of the system, the material selection of the components, the layout and installation of air collector and control method of the system.After the system is completed, we carried out experiments by building test bench in Changchun and the Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park of Baicheng in Jilin Province. In experiments, the relevant data of the solar collector were tested, which were compared with the solar radiation and the outdoor temperature during the test. In addition, we test the instantaneous flow of heat transfer oils in the Agricultural Technology Demonstration Park of Baicheng in Jilin Province, and contrast the date with before. According to the analysis of experimental data of two sets of solar assisted curing system, the results show that the open-type solar assisted curing system has higher solar collector efficiency and better energy saving effect. It′s operation is stable and it can create more economic benefits and environmental benefits.
