In order to explore "decreasing work and cost, improving qualityand efficiency" in curing, the experiment of loading tobacco leaves was conductedwith five treatments (traditional loading leaf with pole, rapid cage type tobacco leafclamp, comb type tobacco leaf clamp, loose-leaf with needle, box type withaccumulation) during may to august of2012. In experiment, curing environment ofbulk curing barn, curing ability, the cost of labor force and energy, grade proportion,physical qualities, appearance qualities, chemical components, sensory qualities andaroma substance of cured tobacco leaves were evaluated and assayed. The mainresults are as follows:1. Effect of different tobacco leaf loading methods on wind and temperature fieldof vertical direction.7loci temperature range, standard deviation and standarddeviation of three layers’ leaf temperature of rapid cage type tobacco leafclamp and loose-leaf with needle is smaller than others in vertical direction of Bulkcuring barn. The vertical wind speed of rapid cage type tobacco leafclamp and loose-leaf with needle are maintained within0.4m/s, Wind speeddifference of each site is very small. The wind speed of upper leaves andlower leaves of traditional loading leaf with pole exceeds0.4m/s, and more than larger.Loose-leaf with needle is least in three layers’ leaf standard deviation; rapid cage typetobacco leaf clamp is second, and better than traditional loading leaf with pole.2. Effect of different tobacco leaf loading methods on curing ability of bulkcuring barn. Rapid cage type tobacco leaf clamp, comb type tobacco leaf clamp,loose-leaf with needle, box type with accumulation can significantly improve thecuring ability of bulk curing barn, Increased by27.18%,31.05%,42.36%and57.51%,and increased significantly by1%.3. Effect of different tobacco leaf loading methods on work force of per hectareand cost of energy. Box type with accumulation is fewest in work force of per hectare,and then followed by loose-leaf with needle, comb type tobacco leaf clamp, rapidcage type tobacco leaf clamp, and traditional loading leaf with pole, decreased by67.54%、48.17%、44.76%and29.70%respectively than reference treatment, andincreased significantly by1%. Per unit of Electricity consumption and Coalconsumption of rapid cage type tobacco leaf clamp is least, Energy cost saved by20.52%. Per unit of Electricity consumption Saved significantly, but coalconsumption. Energy cost saved by4.72%and7.89%.Per unit of Electricity consumption and Coal consumption of box type with accumulation increasedsignificantly, Energy cost increased by38.63%.4. Effect of different tobacco leaf loading methods on qualities of cured tobaccoleaf. The results showed that grade proportion, physical qualities and aroma substanceof cured upper tobacco leaves are best on rapid cage type tobacco leaf clamp and andbetter than others. But these qualities of Comb type tobacco leaf clamp and box typewith accumulation is is poor. Appearance qualities are best on loose-leaf with needle,its color is more orange,gloss is stronger, chroma is more full; chemical componentsquality of rapid cage type tobacco leaf clamp is superior in all treatments. In sensoryqualities, loose-leaf with needle is a little better; the difference is very small amongthem.
