Prepared PVC composite which was filled with vermiculite as matrix,choosing BaSO4、SSP、Sb2O3、Al(OH)3、ZnSn(OH)6 as filling materials. In order to find cheaper, easy processing and flame-retardant material,the flame retardant property, sound insulation property and mechanical property were tested and analyzed. It can be used as a kind of base material for textile composites in the field of sound insulation.First of all, PVC/vermiculite composite material was prepared and tested and analyzed the properties. The results show that: with the increase of the content of vermiculite,the LOI also increase. But the breaking strength and elongation at decreased and stiffness increased. When m(PVC):m(vermiculite)=100:125,the LOI was 26.8%,which had retardation effect. The material also had the good mechanical property, which was a kind of toughness material.Secondly,on the basis of m(PVC):m(vermiculite)=100:125, filled with the heavy filler as BaSO4 and SSP to prepared new materials. The study showed that: adding heavy filler, not only improved the flame retardant of the composite, and the sound insulation performance did not significantly reduce. With the increase of heavy packing, the breaking strength and elongation decreased and stiffness increased. When m(PVC):m(vermiculite):m(BaSO4)=100:125:300,the LOI was 31.0%,which was better than filled with SSP. And it also had good mechanical property.Finally, on the basis of m(PVC):m(vermiculite):m(BaSO4)=100:125:300, the composite materials filled with inorganic flame retardant to prepared new materials. The results showed that:filling with inorganic flame retardant, the flame retardant properties of composites was improved greatly. Filling ZHS, not only the amount was less, but also environmental protection. And it met the construction industrial areas of flame retardant standards. It did not decrease significantly in the sound insulation properties, mechanical properties, which still met the use requirements needed.
