When laser cutting compared with other thermal cutting,it have many advantages,such as narrow kerf, small heat-affected zone, high efficiency, broad cutting range, good flexibility and saving material etc.In recent years,Laser cutting is used in engineering increasingly and Aluminum Alloy is also more and more applied to advanced technical field in China, for example,the aviation field.But now there is few research on laser cutting technology related to aluminum alloy in the research of laser,so it is an important issue that how to choose appropriate process parameters to improve the laser cutting quality of Aluminum Alloy.In the theoretical analysis,the generation and characteristics of the laser, the mechanism and classification of laser cutting, and the energy conversion in the laser cutting process are introduced systematically in this paper.Some problems like the laser cutting process and the cutting path selection are analyzed.The evaluating indicators and the main influencing factors of laser cutting quality are summarized,through the accumulation of books and literature.The influencing factors are laser power, cutting speed and gas pressure, in addition the laser cutting quality evaluating indicators are the roughness of cutting surface,the length of adherent dross and kerf width.In the experimental analysis,firstly, after determining the laser power and the thickness of the aluminum alloy plate,the maximum cutting speedmv can be achieved because the mathematical models of the laser cutting energy and kerf width are analyzed and computed by the data processing software MATLAB. Furthermore, establishing schemes of Single-factor Experiments to describe the relation of influencing factors with laser cutting quality indicators, the rules of relation can be analyzed. Then,combining Orthogonal Experiment with Matrix Analysis to realize integrated quality optimization, and achieve optimal combination of process parameters.Finally,due to the test scheme of Orthogonal Design of Linear Regression, linear multivariate regress equations of influencing factors with laser cutting quality indicators can be calculated.These regress equations are highly significant by examined,under condition of 95% degree of belief.In the analysis of parameter model laser cutting, based on the Orthogonal Experiment,Back-Propagation Neural Network the model of Artificial Neural Network is established,and the highly nonlinear equations of the influence factors with laser cutting quality indicators are calculated. The Genetic Algorithm has great advantages to search extreme of nonlinear equation.Combining the built Back-Propagation Neural Network model with Genetic Algorithm to search extreme of nonlinear equation,and the optimum process parameters scheme about laser cutting quality has been found,compared with the optimum process parameters scheme in orthogonal experimental analysis,they are very close.
