New High Throughput Twist Drill Used In Deep Hole Drilling

For the purpose of improving efficiency in deep hole drilling, a new high throughput twist drill with three points and seven blades is used. Through the establishment of the drill point mathematical model and the drill point comparative experiments, we selected a reasonable tool geometry parameters and developed a new deep hole drill which is more excellent than ordinary deep hole twist drill.The subject transformed the deep hole drilling machine, on which we did the comparative experiments of new deep hole drill and ordinary deep hole drill. Experimental results show:when drilling 42CrMo material, the axial force and torque of new deep hole drill is generally smaller than ordinary deep hole drill, and It also has better chip morphology. When processing the same number of holes, the main blade of new deep hole drill has good wear resistance. The holes roughness processed by high-performance deep hole is better than ordinary deep hole drill.
