New High Efficient Twist Drill Used In Deep Hole Drilling

In order to improve the tool life,a new deep twist drill for deep hole making is developed,which is with the "three tips and seven edges" drill tip form.the tool geometry parameters for the new deep drilling cutting impact were clarified;deep hole drilling equipment was also modified;the paper presents:compared with the ordinary deep twist drilling,the new deep hole twist drilling has smaller axial force and torque,better cutting form,prolonged lifetime when 42CuMo alloy was processed.moreover,the inner holes were more lubrious in the novel deep holedrilling when the same amounts of holes were treated.In conclusion,this new deep holedrilling demonstrates better performance than the general one;by changing the size of B point to prove:the value of new deep drilling is reasonable,and may provide some inspiration for the real industial practice.
