With the improvement of people’s living standard, the demand of high quality wool products is increased. In view of AOX which was yielded by the traditional wool anti-felting finishing technology and caused serious environmental pollution. Reactive cationic crosslinking modifier WLS(homemade) and cationic gelatin protein as raw material were used to synthesis a series of protein wool finishing agent and explored the synthesis process conditions on the properties of wool anti-felting :the quality of the cationic gelatin and WLS, synthetic time, synthetic temperature and dosage of sodium hydroxide. The best synthesis technology of anti-felting finishing is identified, it is: M(protein) : M(WLS) = 1:10, dosage of Na OH is 1.60%(percentage) quality of the WLS, synthesis for 3h under 80℃, and its structure and properties have been characterized. The results proved that the antifelting finishing agent is a kind of protein derivative with cationic groups, biodegradable additives.This finishing agent is applied to anti-felting finishing process of wool when density of felting ball, felting rate of fabric, weightlessness rate as the evaluation index, the best antifelting finishing processes are optimized, as: bath ratio is 20:1, dosage of Na2SO3 is 6g.L-1, dosage of additives is 25 g.L-1, processing for 60 min under 50℃. It can be seen that the finishing agent is the target product which can reduce the directional friction effect of wool surface scales effectively, thus the performance of wool anti-felting is improved, but the effect of treatment is limited.In order to make a further strengthen in the anti-felting finishing, respectively the hydrogen peroxide pretreatment(processing time, the dosage of hydrogen peroxide and processing temperature) and plasma pretreatment(vacuum degree, discharge time, discharge power) are discussed. After assessing the anti-felting performance of wool, wettability and dyeing properties, etc. And the anti-felting finishing process of wool in different pretreatment conditions are optimized, among them, the hydrogen peroxide pretreatment conditions are: the dosage of hydrogen peroxide is 15 m L.L-1, processing for 40 min under 50℃; Plasma pretreatment conditions are: vacuum degree is 35 Pa, discharge time is 4 min, discharge power is 100 W. The results proved that the plasma pretreatment combined antifelting finishing agent and sodium sulfite finishing technologies can effectively strengthen the performance of protein wool anti-felting wool finishing agent, and the density of felting ball is from 0.0770 g.cm-3 to 0.0169 g.cm-3, climbed by 78.05%,as good as DCCA. At the same time, the sorting process has the advantages of high efficiency and low pollution, conforms to the requirements of environmental protection and economic development, as well as a good application prospect.
