Along with the advance of society, people require products not only on function, but also on convenient and quick etc. So the products of miniaturization more appear in daily life, such as tablets. Also, in many industrial areas, equipment of small size, high precision and miniaturization has been more and more widely used. Micro-scale pressing technology is one of the most effective means of machining to obtain a part with small dimensional characteristics, so becoming more and more popular among experts. The hard brittle materials become widely accepted gradually because of good abrasion resistance, strong corrosion resistance, thermal stability, high temperature and high strength, so studying on the processing becomes important.This thesis mainly studies microscale grinding machining conducted with quartz glass and alumina ceramic. Discuss the influence of the grinding parameter to force and thermal properties in micro-grinding.First discuss the difference between micro-scale grinding and traditional grinding process, on the basis of traditional grinding theory, combining the characteristics of microscale grinding, finally establish the theoretical model of grinding force and temperature field which is suitable for microscale grinding.Then introduce the theory of FEM simulation. A single grit cutting model is built by ABAQUS. Discuss the influence of the grinding depth and cutting speed to the force and thermal properties.This paper introduces the experimental equipment and the characteristics of the material. In the experiment, the author study on the temperature measurement scheme. According to the principle of thermocouple and the characteristics of microscale grinding, eventually get a suitable artificial thermocouple to measure temperature, set up a integrity temperature measuring system.In the experiment, study the influence regulation of the grinding depth and feed speed to the force and thermal properties, analyze the experimental data and discuss the coupling property of force and thermal.Finally, this thesis summarizes the defects of the subject research, and puts forward the future research direction in the future.
