With the rapid development of manufacturing science and technology,the grinding has become the most effective processing methods of precision and ultra-precision machining,and has been widely used in practical production.The abrasive distribution on the work surface of conventional grinding wheel is stochastic regime,only a little of abrasive grain is really participated in grinding work,and the grinding wheel surface could not form wheel space for holding chips so that the abrasive dust can easily discharge and the flow of cooling fluid.This situation contributes to cause the grinding wheel working surface jam,high grinding temperature,as well as unfavorable use large grinding depth,the processing efficiency of grinding has been limited.Therefore,how to improve the grindability of grinding wheel and grinding efficiency by the use of the ordered arrangements of abrasive has become a key issue to the field of grinding technology.Firstly,there has analyzed the influence mechanism of orderly arrangement to the number of effective grinding grain from the point of view of geometry,and introduced the influence mechanism of orderly arrangement on the grinding force,grinding temperature and grinding surface roughness.Secondly,combining phyllotaxis theory and principle of grinding,grinding force can be divided into cutting deformation force and friction force,cutting deformation force is further divided into chip deformation force and plough force,and has derived the mathematical model of grinding force of the cylindrical electroplated grinding wheel with phyllotactic pattern under the condition of large cutting depth.Then,this paper particularly introduce the process of manufacturing the grinding wheel with phyllotactic pattern,in which the key is to be prepared the phyllotactic pattern mask and appropriate method on the sand.The good phyllotactic pattern mask could be fabricated by using lithography method and choosing better exposure time,at the same time adopt the method of segmentation on the sand,and obtain a high sand patting ratio.Finally,according to the grinding experiment scheme,the grinding experiment is carried out and collected the related experiment data of the grinding force which provided relevant dada support for the study on grinding force of different arrangement forms grinding wheel,and compared the experiment value with the value of mathematical model.The results indicated that the grinding force of phyllotaxis grinding wheel is small relatively compared with the displacement matrix and disorderly grinding wheel grinding wheel in the same experimental conditions.At the same time it can be also found that the grinding grain of ordering has better performance than disordering configuration in terms of grinding force.
