This article introduces a new method to produce textile wastes bio-composites utilizing biotechnology of fungus cultivation to intertwine the waste fibers, to a certain extent it not only solved the environment pollution problem of textile wastes but also the shortage of textile resources so that changing waste into value and waste resources recycling becomes true. Due to the uncontrolled growth of fungus and species, it results the difference of the physical and mechanical properties of the final textile waste bio-composites during the preparation of textile waste bio-composites, so this article focused on the study of the composites in order to providing theoretical foundation for the application of textile waste bio-composites. The main research contents as follows:1. The preparation of textile waste bio-composites and the determination of the experiment design. The first step of the preparation is opening and cleaning, then combing and making it into fiber net, finally the fungus cultivation and injection in the fiber. So the experiment mainly study the effect of fiber length and content on the final production’s mechanical、physical and degradation properties.2. The fungus selection and optimization of liquid cultivation. The key part is fungus injection. Firstly selected three common fungus: Pleurotus Ostreatus、Volvariella Volvacea、F.var.velutipes, then fungus activation and propagation, lastly got the optimal liquid cultivation condition of the three fungi through experiments: Pleurotus Ostreatus liquid medium contains glucose、bran、MgSO4·7H2O、KH2PO4; Volvariella Volvacea liquid medium contains glucose、rice bran、KH2PO4 、MgSO4·7H2O; F.var.velutipes liquid medium contains glucose、corn flour、KH2PO4 、MgSO4·7H2O.3. The preparation and mechanical properties comparison of three different mycelium substance textile waste bio-composites. Cotton waste fiber was chosen as the injection object and produced three textile waste bio-composites with different fungus mycelium. The results showed that the fungus mycelium work as the glue to intertwine the fibers and the function of latticed Pleurotus Ostreatus mycelium was the best; the strength between the mycelium and cotton fiber determined the mechanical strength of the cotton waste bio-composites.4. The preparation and mechanical properties comparison of textile waste bio-composites with different fiber component. The cementing substance was the Pleurotus Ostreatus mycelium and prepared CB、PETB、PPB. The conclusion suggested that the tensile strength keeps the level and the bending strength and compress strength increased significantly with the increasement of the fiber length and the fungus injection amount, the optimal amount of fungus injection was 15%.5. The effect of fiber component and mycelium substance on the physical properties of textile waste bio-composites. Due to the poor hydroscopic property 、low density and degradation of the fungus mycelium, the product showed certain degradation property and density(0.2~0.5g/cm3). The experimental results showed that cotton waste bio-composites has the high degradation property and hydroscopic property compared with PETB and PPB.
