With the rapid development of China’s economy, the yield of the city carbage also rasing at a rate of about teens, the reasonable treatment of city garbage becomes especially important. Improper handling could cause "junk siege" and lead to environmental pollution, which had been aware by more and more people. About garbage disposal, the influence of odor and leachate pollution was more prominent. General dump can run 10 to 20 years, such a long-term municipal project, and the persistent and cumulative pollution could be caused while the environmental treatment project was substandard. One of the important indicators for measuring sanitary landfill was that the garbage leachate whether reached the discharge standard. For the landfill leachate treatment, not only the need of the in-depth analysis for treatment technologies, including the construction cost and operation cost, also need to conduct a comprehensive overall consideration for the source, collection, treatment and discharge process, and as a part of the operation of leachate. This article refer to one engineering had be built, which adopted membrane bioreactor (MBR) and Nanofiltration (NF)/reverse osmosis (RO) as the treating technology. On the premise of treatment effect, the principal part of the project was analyzed comprehensively by the analysis of the construction cost, construction period, construction difficulties, running cost (electricity, labor, agent fees, etc.), depreciation and maintenance costs, etc. Meanwhile, the technologies about the source, collection, treatment and discharge process of landfill leachate were incorporated in the operation management process of leachate treatment. Considering the route of leachate, according to the local environment and climate, one appropriate subject technology should be selected and accordingly perfect each other link, which might be affected. Through a survey, this article also cited other disposal technologies as comparison, for example Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC), Anoxic/Oxic and Fenton (A/O+ Fenton). In order to having more choices, some simple introduction about these technologies has been carried on. According to the service year of the landfill, treatment process also could be flexibly adjusted.Engineering practice showed that the MBR+NF/RO process could be the first choice. Of course, every place had different situation, we need particular analysis according to actual circumstances. At the same time, different processes could be flexible combined. Engineering practice has proved that it’s best to consider the biochemical method, and then Disk Tubular Reverse Osmosis (DTRO), Mechanical Vapor Compression (MVC) and Fenton. On the premise of guaranteeing treatment effect, it is necessary to closely connected with construction investment. From the point of late running cost (electricity, medicament cost and artificial cost), depreciation and maintenance costs, the engineering practice of Shandong, Guangdong, Guangxi, Jiangxi and Shanxi province indicated that MBR+NF/RO was relatively appropriate, the costs of other processes werew relatively high. Under the condition of the main process being choosen, we need to comprehensively consider and start from the origin of leachate generated, including the collecting, district planning in landfill, rain sewage diversion (the drain system around landfill, the isolation rainfall of high density polyethylene hdpe (HDPE) film, etc), the timely observation of the promote and emissions of groundwater and leachate discharging standard after treatment, etc. All these should be incorporated into the daily operation management of the leachate together. It is conducive to better grasp the dynamic change of leachate, and adopts the more appropriate process adjustment.
