Mountains of southwest China in a complex geological environmental condition, the landslide occurred frequently in the rain season, which has become one of the important factors of restricting the development of local economy. Affected by rain and snow weather in January 2012, the open pit slope、road and under-well system engineering of Linong ore section were damaged in different degrees. That directly caused the mining imbalances; mining productivity is difficult to meet the concentrator processing power. To solve the problem of shortage of ore-body supply in mine, the company decided to exploit KT6 ore-body. Combining with 3450 middle part,3390 middle part, and 3350 middle part project layout and field geological investigation. The designs for development, mining preparation, cutting Engineering were made. Due to the complex geological structure and mining technical conditions, a high mechanization degree, good operation conditions, low ore loss and dilution rate method for mining should be adopted. On the premise of meet the safety in production, existing Sinking and Driving Engineering, power supply, water supply and air supply system should be fully taken advantage of. According to the production status of Yangla copper deposit, shorten the construction period of 3390 middle part of KT6 ore-body.In this paper, after studied and analyzed the ore body mining technical conditions, three mining methods were compared from quantities, investment, advantages. Namely"LHD units for loading ore after block caving mining", "ore dumping machine for loading ore after block Caving", "LHD units for loading ore after block Caving with Floor Pillar System".The first method was adopted to exploit ore-body in 3390 middle part between 47 and 51 exploration lines with a level height of 60m; short-hole shrinkage with no bottom was adopted to exploit ore-body between 51 and 53 exploration lines, with a level height of 25m.3390 middle part’s development way was designed to Adit-pass development; Flank diagonal ventilation; the existing two high pools for production water supply; Waste water into haulage way of 3390 middle part, then out of the gutter. Clarifier was located in the Adit port, discharge after qualified. This design provides the technical guidance for the overall KT6 ore body mining planning.
