Absorbent disposable products, also known as hygiene products, which including baby diapers (adult), women’s sanitary napkins (pads), pet pads and so on. The structure of such products mainly include surface, ADL, the absorbent core and impervious bottom film. The main functions of the surface layer material is quickly liquids (urine, blood, etc.) transmitted to the deflector layer and the absorbent core, as far as possible to maintain its own dry. So that during use, it always in contact with the skin affinity and comfortable to achieve multiple urination (or other secretions), on the purpose of a long time to use. It is an important structural materials in hygiene products.With the consumer usage and performance requirements for hygiene products and the non-woven technology development. Past 20 years, the surface layer of material of the hygiene products in constantly upgrading, an endless stream of new products, there are many innovative design in fiber raw materials, production processes and the apparent shape. But the impact of the morphology,physical and chemical characteristics of these products pass the amount and rate of the liquid as well as dry and wet comfort, the relationship between of them are the little research has done.In addition, the functionality and comfort of the surface material characterization is limited to objective evaluation, there are large differences between the subjective feelings and objective evaluation of the consumer during use. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a subjective evaluation system of surface materials and to study its correlation with objective evaluation.Paper selected 15 kinds of hygiene products surface material samples to analysis of the physical and chemical characteristics and morphology; Discuss the surface material of the liquid transfer mechanism and influencing factors; Samples of dry, wet comfort objective experiments, and from their structure and physical chemical characteristics of the analysis of the experimental results; Subjective evaluation system for disposable hygiene products surface material dry, wet comfort subjective evaluation; Finally, the results of subjective evaluation and objective experimental correlation analysis.After the above study get the following conclusions:1. Indicators to measure the liquid passing are liquid penetration time, materials wick height and amount of fluid loss and the experiments give the following conclusions:Liquid penetration time results:hot air<spunlace<spunbond, SMS hot-rolled material. Fiber raw materials, processing technology, the apparent morphology will affect the liquid penetration time.The materials wick highly experimental results:only spunlace materials have more obvious wicking height. The experiment shows the fibrous raw material is the main reason for impact materials have obvious wicking phenomenon.Spunbond, SMS hot-rolled materials have obvious amount of fluid loss, hot air, spunlace materials amount of fluid loss is not much. The material of fiber raw materials and processing technology is affecting the material mainly due to the significant amount of fluid loss.2. Based on the physical and chemical properties of the material on the specimen, dry and wet comfort objective experimental results have the following conclusions:Hot air material dry and wet comfort objective comprehensive evaluation is the best. Affect the evaluation results mainly due to fiber raw materials, processing technology, morphology, pore size, surface density and the thickness joint action.Analog baby diapers sample a subjective evaluation of the dry, wet and correlation analysis have the following conclusions:Dry subjective evaluation, bicomponent spunbond sample the most comfortable evaluation, hot air sample evaluation is better than spunlace and other spunbond, SMS hot-rolled materials.Subjective evaluation of wet, hot air>spunbond, SMS hot rolled> spunlace materials. The hot air samples which have three-dimensional structure wet comfort worse than no three-dimensional structure hot air materials.Dry comfort subjective evaluation significantly correlated with the average coefficient of friction, and surface roughness is no significant correlation.Comfort subjective evaluation of the wet state and the average coefficient of friction, bending hysteresis, compression ratio function, permeability, moisture permeability, returned to infiltration, liquid holdup and subjective dry state has a different comfort level of significant correlation, and the most correlation indicator is back to the infiltration. The correlation results show that materials wet comfort is the result of the interaction of a variety of factors.
