With the development of science and technology and the demand of industrial production, the Heavy-Duty Numerical Control Planer Type Milling Machine has been greatly developed. It has the advantages of small size, good dynamic response, etc. But because of its size is relatively large and the two bed separate assembly. So it is easy to have a larger installation error, besides installation and debugging more difficult. So it is necessary to study a set of test measures of high measuring accuracy、low cost、easy to operate about large-scale mobile gantry milling machine accuracy.The large mobile gantry milling machine as the research object, through the analysis of the structure of the gantry milling machine and precision testing standards found the installation and debugging of the gantry milling machine guide rail is relatively complex. Therefore, combining with actual situation developed a set of mobile gantry milling machine guide rail precision detection method, and experiments are carried out. And the gantry milling machine guide, through the experiment to further test the feasibility of the method. Experimental results show that this method is feasible, convenient, low cost, high precision and so on.The article of straightness error evaluation theory are described, and for mapping method, the solution of plane straightness error, there are only pay attention to the accurate assessment of the error value is obtained, and the lack of error curve of the formation mechanism and its shape characteristics based on the reference. The self collimator of the gantry milling machine of a guide rail straightness error detection, and the use of mapping method is used to calculate the straightness error curve. Through the analysis of the proposed a straightness error curve drawing mechanism and its shape and position characteristic theory.In this paper, a mathematical model based on the minimum zone method is established to solve the problem that the linear degree error of the minimum zone method is not perfect. The theory can be used as a guide for the evaluation theory of straightness error based on the minimum zone method.
