Hongjingzi oilfield began to explore in the 60s of the last century, the number of oil-bearing series is very large, there are many adjustmented layers and monitoring data of the residual oil is less are restricting the current work area to carry out detailed geological studies. Now, this area has come into the phase of high water cut stage, the scale of reservoir is small and the distribution of remaining oil are complex ang unclear, all of this hindrance the smooth development of a the Hongjingzi oilfield. To this end, there is an urgent need to carry out the fine geologic study of the old oil fields and the remaining potential analysis, described the fine features of the tectonic, sedimentary, reservoir and reservoir, revealing the law of oil and water relations and distribution of remaining oil, look for the potential target for development of Hongjingzi oilfield、improving recovery and sustainable development to laid a solid foundation.For the above issues, this paper carry out the reserch work through the fine geological studies of the development of Jurassic Yanan formation and Triassic Yanchang formation of Hongjingzi oilfield. Using the development geology, reservoir description, relying on the stratigraphic classification and correlation, the analysis of structural characteristics, sedimentary characteristics and reservoir heterogeneity characteristics to obtained the oil field’s static characteristics:research the micro structural characteristics of reservoirs in depth, according to the affect of the type and characteristics of micro structure to the distribution of remaining oil, forecast the distribution of remaining oil of the reservoir of Hongjingzi oilfield.
