As one of the cotton spinning equipment, the comber plays an very important role. With the development of cotton textile industry, people need higher performance somber than before. Therefore, it’s necessary to break through the technology bottleneck of traditional comber and research high-speed and high-performance comber. This project proposes a single cylinder continuous combed comber with new comb principle.The article mainly includes two parts.The first part relates the principle conceptual design and structural design of the single cylinder continuous combed comber.The first part summarizes the research background and the development of comber, and introduces the process tasks and the process flows briefly. This project proposes a continuous combing technology, which abandons comber reciprocating mechanism. This comber uses clamp cylinder plate, comb needle and carding part which is similar to carding machine cover plate to change the direction of fiber and bidirectional carding. It uses suction mesh roller to attach fiber. This comber not only greatly simplifies the mechanism but also avoids the clamp frequency constraints out of the existing comber mode, and even can eliminates vibration, wear and noise, which are caused by high-speed reciprocating. The projects identifies the principle of the single cylinder continuous combing comber and completed the detailed structural designs of each part.The second part relates the mechanism kinematics and dynamics analysis of the comber nipper for single cylinder continuous comber.The analysis method of the kinematics characteristics is set upon the basis of the special body movement of the clamp plate, including relative motion analysis and absolute motion analysis. According to the principal and subordinate movement relationship, this article defines the absolute motion expressions for nipper mechanism. This article establishes a theoretical foundation for the institutional dynamic analysis.Based on the kinematics analysis of the nipper, this article establishes the rigid mechanical model for the open position of nipper mechanism to further analyze the mechanism dynamics. The model is assembled by SolidWorks according to the movement size, and then the motion simulation is carried on to examine the interference situation and the movement feature. The CAD model is exported into ADAMS for kinetic analysis. The dynamic loading data provides the basis for the following finite element analysis of the components.The extensive use of simulation software saves the design cost. With the kinematics and dynamics analysis of the mechanism, the feasibility of the program is discussed.
