Studies On Four Kinds Of Plant Essential Oil Extract Repellent Midge Effect

Phytochemical constituents to repel mosquitoes is safe for human body, harmless to the environment, it is comes from nature. And the phytochemical constituents to repel mosquitoes has great ecological benefit and economic benefit. Therefore, exploit the phytochemical constituents to repel mosquitoes has great property of repellent activity and safe for environment is so important for human. In this study we chose four repel mosquitoes plants:verbena,wild mugwort, pig hair and orange peel as the research object, we use the different solvents extraction.And we use the Y-type sense of smell instrument and the experiment of human body repellent test the repel mosquitoes effect of four kinds extract material.This study use GC-MS method to test the effective component of repel mosquitoes plant and column chromatography method separate crude extraction material. The results show that as follows:1. The best extracting agent for verbena, pig hair is 95% ethanol. Extraction rate are 1.30%and 1.50% respectively. The best extraction agents for mugwort and orange peel is distilled water,the extraction rate are 0.50%, 2.40% respectively.2. Verbena, wild mugwort, pig hair artemisia and orange peel four kinds extract material has great repellent activity(> 70%),and wild mugwort has the best effect of repel mosquitoes the effect is achieve 91.01%.3. The human body repellent results show that, the wild mugwort repel midge effect is best the effective protection time is achieve 120 min, and protective efficacy rate is 85.24%. The second repel midge effect plant is mugwort the effective protection time is achieve 105 min,and protective efficacy rate is 76.52%. Pig hair artemisia the effective protection time is achieve 90 min,and protective efficacy rate is 80.65%. Orange peel the effective protection time is achieve60 min,and protective efficacy rate is 81.66%.4. The repel mosquitoes effective components of verbena and wild mugwort is alpha pinene(α-pinene) C10H16, ocimene C10H16.5, The human body repellent test results show that, after chloroform elution crude extractings from wild mugwort, get the composition of the repel mosquitoes effect is best, when the time achieve 120 min, the protective efficacy is 84.37%.
