In microcapsule technology, the active material is packaged into particles which have the scope of micron or nanometer with the film-forming materials.Microcapsule can protect the core material substances from the impact of the external environment, so as to improve the stability of the material.In recent years, the microcapsule technology has been widely applied in medicine, agriculture, food, cosmetics and other fields.Emulsion solvent evaporation method, also called fluid drying, is a kind of microcapsule technology in common use. In this technology, the volatile solvents removal from the dispersed phase in the emulsion to the preparation of microspheres. Because of its simple principle, convenient operation, and the advantages of convenient for application in the large-scale industrial production, it has attracted a wide spread attention.IR3535 is a mosquito repellent agent. IR3535 attracts a wide spread attention and has been widely used in drive midge products because of its efficiency and security, compared with the traditional displacement suspension agent But IR3535 has many problems in use process, such as releasing of evaporation, transdermal absorption, which influence its drive midge effect. So the microcapsule technology is applied to the study of insect repellent is of great significance.Based on ethyl cellulose wall, IR3535 as the core material, methylene chloride as organic solvent, tween80 and span80 as emulsifier, polyvinyl alcohol as stabilizer, using emulsion solvent evaporation method, prepared the drive midge particles of the active ingredients.With transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), nanometer particle size analyzer, high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) to characterize drive midge particle'morphology, particle size and embedding rate respectively.By single factor experiment, this paper discusses the core quality percentage wall ratio, emulsifying agent, the dosage of PVA and stirring speed affected the performance of drive midge particles. The better process conditions about the preparation of drive midge particles:core wall ratio of 1:2, emulsifier quality percentage is 2.8%, polyvinyl alcohol,1.5 g, stirring speed 300 r/min. Under the better condition of the preparation of the particles for ivory spherical particles, the exterior roundness, surface has many holes, particle size in 0.2 um?2 um, and scattered more uniform, the embedding rate was 8.6%.Study of slow-release performance of the drive midge particles, founding that the particles in the slow release of IR3535 is relatively slow, a slow release period is longer than the other.This feature provides the potential further application for drive midge particles. Put drive midge particles into the emulsion to prepare skin feeling delicate and good stability mosquito repellent emulsion, which laid a foundation for the practical application of drive midge particles.
