At present, the shortage of water resources and water pollution is a major environmental problem facing to our country. It is our obligation and responsibility to save water and protect water resources. With the development of the society, the industrial enterprises are developing rapidly, the resulting environmental problems is the increasing number of industrial waste water. In <the action plan for prevention and control of water pollution>, the major policy measures proposed in April 2015,the industrial waste water treatment was proved as the core content. It can be seen that wastewater treatment especially industrial wastewater treatment is a very serious and important problem.This paper aimed at designing a set of feasible technological process for treating thewastewaterproduced by a car muffler company in ChangChun. The sewage include production wastewater and sewage, and the scale is 4m3/d and 70m3/d.According to the experience of the similar production waste water treatment, combined with the reality of the factory, the best solution is determined by the comparison of different technological process. Production wastewater are treatedby neutralization flocculation- air flotation process, and then mixed with sewageafter pretreatment,comprehensive sewage treatment is chosen grille, regulating pool, hydrolysis acidification pool-biological contact oxidation pool- process of settling basin. Through calculation, after the set of process, the quality of the water can reach the level of integrated wastewater discharge standard(GB8978-1996). The size of each structure was calculated and the equipment parameters were determined according to the amount of wastewater and the established process and related parameters. The disposal methods of sludge werepressed into mud cake by the plate and frame filter press after concentrated sludge thickening tank. The whole process is feasible and has good economic benefit and social benefit.
