With the rapid growth of population and economy, the technology of micro-polluted water treatment has attracted more and more attention, the traditional micro-polluted water treatment agent in the treatment process easy to form secondary pollution,it can no longer satisfy people’s demands. This paper selects phenol which is a typifacation of phenolic compounds as the research object. The feasibility and influencing factors are studied in the degradation of phenolic compounds by ultrasonic cavitation、H2O2、Fenton reagent and the combinition of ultrasonic and Fenton technology. The subject intends to search a kind of disposal method which makes some bases for the treatment of industrial wastewater. The result shows that the degradation rate of phenol by ultrasonic cavitation alone is not high. With two hours treatment, the phenol removal rate of the concentration of lOmg/L of phenol solutionjust reached 10.9%.Under acidic conditions, Hydrogen peroxide has strong oxidation, when the pH value was 3, the phenol degradation rate was the highest. In practical engineering, the adjustment of the pH process is complex and may form secondary pollution. It is difficult to reach the standard of drinking water if we do not adjust the pH value of the solution.Fenton’s reagent is more efficient than using hydrogen peroxide alone and using ultrasonic oxidation alone, it can achieve a relatively high degradation rate in a relatively short time.According to the experimental study of phenol solution of 10mg/L, the best ratio of ferrous sulfate and hydrogen peroxide in Fenton reagent was 1:61.In the treatment of 1mg/L phenol solution under the conditions of this ratio, phenol was completely degraded in half an hour. The synergistic effect of the combined action of ultrasound and Fenton reagent on the treatment of phenol was obvious. The concentration of 10mg/L of phenol solution under the combined action of ultrasound and Fenton reagentcan be completely degraded half an hour.Through the regression analysis of the experimental data,we found that the reaction of phenol with ultrasonic/Fenton is a first order kinetic reaction.Using gas chromatography mass spectrometry to analyze the process of the degradation of phenol in water samples by Fenton reagent, the results shows that phenol will be oxidized to hydroquinone and catechol, hydroquinone can be oxidized into p-benzoquinone,phenol will be oxidized to carbon dioxide and water eventually.
