Some workers who work in particular environments usually need to wear protective clothing for security reasons, such as insulated clothing of high-voltage electric maintenance workers, winter clothes of cold porters, etc. A relatively closed microenvironment is formed between protective clothing and the body, the surface of the heat and moisture balance of the skin is destroyed and the wearing comfort is reduced when wearing in a long time. Dry-touch thermo-regulated fabric has composite functions such as highly efficient wicking function, moisture absorption and water storage capabilities, and bidirectional temperature control function, which can make the wearing comfort improved.Based on thermal comfort theory, mechanism of water conduction in the fabric, mechanism of phase change thermal storage thermostat, Three structural model of dry-touch thermo-regulated fabric is established which are single layer structure, double-layer structure and three-layer structure. To form a stable water conduction channel in the dry-touch thermo-regulated fabric to keep the skin surface dry, and adjust the closed microenvironment temperature to provide a comfortable body temperature, the principle of differential capillary effect is used to design the functional layer of these three structures.Based on the structural model of dry-touch thermo-regulated fabric, the coolmax fiber (1.63dtex ×38.4mm) is used as conductive materials, the viscose fiber (1.58dtex × 38mm) is used as hygroscopic materials, the Outlast air conditioning fiber (1.89dtex × 38mm) is used as thermostat performance materials, and the cotton fiber (1.43dtex × 38mm) is used to improve the fabric wearing comfort. And then wicking coolmax yarn (coolmax/cotton,50/50,31.25tex), hygroscopic viscose (100%,31.25tex), air conditioning Outlast fiber yarn (cotton/Outlast,70/30.25tex) with bilateral temperature regulation are twisted and processed,18 kinds dry-touch thermo-regulated fabrics of single layer structure, double-layer structure and three-layer structure with three different yarn content ratios are designed and weaved.Wear ability and wicking performance, moisture absorption, water absorption, thermostat performance of these 18 kinds fabrics are tested, the results show that the performance of dry-touch thermo-regulated fabrics is affected by the structure and the fiber contents, the dry-touch thermo-regulated fabrics are designed and selected depending on the different environments. When the body has obvious sweat because of strenuous exercise or high ambient temperatures, the dry-touch thermo-regulated fabric of three-layer in which the content ratio between coolmax and Outlast is 8:2 or 4:6 can be selected; when the body is at room temperature without strenuous exercise state and has no obvious sweat, the dry-touch thermo-regulated fabric of double-layer in which the content ratio between coolmax and Outlast is 5:5 or 6:4 can be selected; when the body is in basal metabolic state, the dry-touch thermo-regulated fabric of single layer in which the content ratio between coolmax and Outlast is 6:4 can also be selected.
