With the development of economy, energy issues become increasingly tense.While actively developing new energy, the recycling of energy is getting more and more attention. Air compressor is widely used as power source and the energy consumption is huge at work. However, the energy consumption which is really used to increase the air potential energy accounted for only about 15% and most of the other electric energy is converted into heat, which is emitted into the atmosphere that is waste of energy and caused waste pollution to the environment. Therefore, it is of great importance to study the waste heat of air compressor in a reasonable application,which is good for “Energy saving and emission reduction”.At present, the domestic and foreign has been carried out many heat recovery and transformation of the screw type air compressor. It can improve the utilization of energy in a certain extent, but there is still exist serious the phenomenon of waste. And we can see that there is still a lot of energy saving space for the heat recovery of air compressor.This paper mainly study that the design and application of the heat recovery system of the non oil screw air compressor in the textile factory. On the basis, the heat recovery mode and heat recovery system of the non oil screw air compressor, and the selection and design of heat exchanger in the heat recovery system are introduced. The choice and design of heat exchanger is the most important in the design and application of heat recovery system,which will directly affect the heat recovery efficiency of heat recovery system. In the design of heat exchanger, it is needed to consider the heat exchanger’s type, the internal structure of heat exchanger, the state parameter of heat exchange fluid, the resistance of heat exchanger and so on. In this paper, the choice is the shell-and-tube heat exchanger in the heat recovery system, which mainly use the air in the high temperature and high pressure to heat soften water, and then use the softened water to heat the water for life.Finally, the air compressor system of a textile factory in Xianyang and a textile factory in Xi’an province was carried out. The feasibility and the economic properties of the heat recovery system are analyzed respectively. Through the economic analysis of the air compressor heat recovery system of a textile factory in Xianyang,which show that the heat recovery system can bring good economic benefits. And in the design of the aircompressor heat recovery system of a textile factory in Xi’an Province, according to the analysis results, the scheme of improving the utilization rate of the heat recovery is put forward, which can further achieve the purpose of energy saving and emission reduction.
