Compressed air has become the second largest power source, being next only to electric energy, with the continuous development of technology in the textile mills, while the production of compressed air is a high energy consumption process. In the most of textile enterprises, energy consumption of compressed air system exceeds 30% of the total energy consumption. Accordingly, the energy saving of compressed air system has become a major problem of energy conservation and emission reduction in textile mill. This paper, using the method of theoretical analysis uniting with experimental measurement, has studied the energy-saving on using optimization technologies and the influence of suction parameters.First of all, this paper has done a in-depth investigation and research of a new compressor station in Xi’an textile enterprise, found that the station of textile mill in Xi’an had applied some optimization technologies, such as improving the efficiency of compressors, applying variable-frequency, central control, waste-heat recovery in compressor, supporting compressed air on the basis of pressure, to decrease the energy-consumption of compressed air system, but the system still exists the problem of the high energy consumption of the dryer and the excessive pressure loss in the transportation of compressed air. This paper has discussed the energy-saving and economy result of applying different optimization technologies and analyzed the feasibility of other points of energy-conservation.Secondly, this paper had doing some tests in different seasons, using the control variable method, in Xi’an and Xian yang textile mills respectively.By analyzing on test data, the conclusion that the linear relations between suction variation and efficiency of compressor has been drawn as follows:(1) Study on the influence of inlet air parameters to the energy consumption of air compressor station In the coldest and hottest month, for the air compressor station which combines the oil with the oil free screw air compressor is combined and applies freeze dryer, under the unit is in the same amount of suction moisture content, when suction temperature increases by 1 ℃, the power consumption of 1m3/min compressed air will increase by 0.295%.In contrast, under the suction temperature is same, when the moisture content increases by 1g/kg, the energy consumption will increase by 0.47%;In transition and heating seasons for the air compressor station with oil free screw air compressor and no heat adsorption dryer, when the temperature increases by 1 ℃, and the energy consumption will increase by 0.39%,and when air moisture increases by 1g/kg, energy consumption will increase by 0.56%.(2) Analyze on the influence of inlet air parameters to the efficiency of air compressor In summer for oil free screw air compressor, when suction temperature rises every 1℃, the air compressor efficiency and compressed efficiency will be respectively decreased by 0.678% and 0.898%;When moisture increases by each 1g/kg,two kinds of efficiency of compressor will reduce by about 0.457% and 0.644%;When air enthalpy increases 1k J/kg, two kinds of efficiency will decrease by 0.155% and 0.235%respectively.For centrifugal air compressor, when suction temperature rises every1℃,efficiency will decrease by 0.517% and 0.832% respectively; When moisture content increases each 1g/kg, efficiency will be decreased by 0.277%and 0.438%; when inlet enthalpy increases in every 1k J/kg, two kinds of efficiency will be decreased by 0.125%and 0.151% respectively. Finally, this paper discussed the pretreatment scheme of air compressor and draw the conclusion that using 7 ℃ Celsius frozen water with spray chamber can drop inlet air temperature and moisture obviously. And the addition of pretreatment equipment can save energy consumption and running cost remarkably.
