Objective:.Betaine and folic acid on reducing blood lipid, antioxidation and on vascular endothelial cell oxidative damage repair function, to clarify the pharmacological effects of betaine, folic acid and its functional food products research and development to provide theoretical basis. Methods:High fat diet method was used to construct the model of high fat diet. The indexes of SOD, TG, Hcy, MDA and TC in serum and liver were determined, and the blood lipid and antioxidation function of betaine and folic acid were analyzed. Use of oxidized low density lipoprotein induced injury in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (human umbilical vein endothelial cell, HUVCE), betaine, folic acid intervention, using CCK-8 method for the detection of HUVEC cell viability, using ELISA method for the determination of folic acid and betaine stem prognosis of oxygen of HUVEC cell IL-8, IL-6, TNF alpha index, evaluation of betaine, folic acid on vascular endothelial cell oxidative damage effects. The result:With the blank control compared to the slow growth of the high fat group, the body weight of mice, betaine, folic acid can improvement of hyperlipidemia mice weight gain, reduce the content of liver ratio and serum and liver total cholesterol, triglyceride and Hcy. Betaine and folic acid can improve the serum and liver SOD activity and decrease the content of MDA in mice. Betaine, folic acid can enhance the oxidative damage of HUVEC cell viability, and has a certain dose effect. Betaine and folic acid can decrease the expression of IL-6, IL-8 and TNF-in HUVEC cells induced by oxidative damage. Conclusion:The research results show that betaine, folic acid can effectively reduce the high fat fed induced total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG) and the same type of cysteine (Hcy) increased, the disease of tall blood fat with a role in mitigation. A small amount of Betaine (0.034g/kg) and folic acid (0.00001 g/kg) synergistic effect of Betaine (0.12g/kg), folic acid (0.001 g/kg), the effect of individual intervention. The effect of betaine and folic acid on the protection and repair of endothelial cells damaged by oxidized low density lipoprotein.
