Five station cutlery polished machine is a kind of automatic polishing equipment which is used in stainless steel tableware manufacturing industry. The device clamps stainless steel tableware by mechanical chuck, replace artificial to complete the needed feed and transposition of tableware in the polishing process, which has realized the automatic of cutlery polished.This paper expounds the research status and development trend of cutlery polishing equipment at home and abroad.and find out the disadvantage of exiting homebred polishing equipment. Designed the structure of the main transmission system by the technological requirements of cutlery processing.completed the detailed design of the main drive system.The transmission system is made up of the feed clamping device and the indexing mechanism.The feed clamping device to complete polishing cutlery in the process of clamping and transverse longitudinal feed movement and the indexing mechanism complete dislocation movement between each polishing station.Two actions work together to complete the automation of cutlery polished transmission.This paper did in-depth analysis and research on the intermittent indexing mechanism of cutlery polished machine,designed the indexing mechanism which can adjust the different requirement of the polishing process.This paper made the control scheme according to the requirements of the tableware polishing process, combination of the tableware polishing machine control requirements, taking the advantage of the slip ring to complete signal transmission between rotating parts and stationary parts, by adopting the idea of master-slave communication designed tableware polishing machine control process and implementation scheme of each part is given.Completed the selection of the control system hardware and programming design.Finally after processing and debugging operation of the prototype,it shows that This equipment running smoothly and positioning reliable,The finished preparation was stable in quality and the daily processing capacity has reached the expected design requirements; Compared with the traditional relay control system, the PLC control system has high control accuracy, more reliability and security, and the flexibility and extensibility of the whole system are improved greatly then the traditional relay control system.
