At present, the research of coordination polymers has huge potentials in the field of homogeneous catalysis, gas absorption and separation, magnetic materials, ferroelectric materials, chemical sensing and optical materials. For the high order arrangement, stability and high color purity, the coordination polymers have got high speed development and special status on the field of optic. In this paper, we get two different series of coordination polymers through two different triangular ligands with high conjugation reacting with rare earth elements. The structure of coordination polymers were characterized by infrared testing, elements analysis, X-ray diffraction and luminescence testing, especially the research on the application of optical. The main work could be summarized as follows:1. Through hydrothermal method, we design and synthesis compounds 1-7 (Tb, Eu, Sm, Dy, Y, Gd, Er) by the reaction of H3L1, terephthalic acid with rare earth elements. The compound 1 emits green characteristic luminescence which could remain stable when the pH ranges from 4 to 10. For the application of luminescence, compound could be used as chemical sensor for quality detection of nitraaromatic compounds.2. By the co-doping method, the characteristic luminescence of compound 1 and 2 could be synthesized in the same compound. Through the change of co-doped ratio of elements and the excitation wavelength, the luminescent spectrum could be tailored and achieved white light emission when the ratio of Tb/Eu is 6:4 and 7:3.3. The hetero-metallic compounds 8 and 9 could be synthesized through in situ reaction. Compound 8 and 9 display strong characteristic luminescence of Tb3+, Eu3+. By co-doping method, the three metals compounds could be synthesized. After the changing of co-doped ratio of elements and the excitation wavelength, we successfully tailored the luminescence emission from red, through yellow to green in the same material.
