Mine drainage pump not only is the key equipment to ensure the safety of mine production, but also is the main power consumption device; its power consumption is up to 40% of the whole mine. Therefore, it has important significance that the drainage pump operate high efficiency and energy saving. The pump motor in the water-filling submersible electric pump is studied in this paper. The main work is as follows:1. Taking YBQ-2800/4-S(10000) water pump as an example, the design of the motor is carried out. Due to the differences between opened and closed slot design, the water pump motor design using traditional ordinary three-phase asynchronous motor design formula may result in large errors. So the formulas such as water friction loss, slot leakage permeance and air gap coefficient need to be improved to fit the need of the water pump magnetic calculation. The magnetic calculation of 2800KW water pump motor is carried out; the design result conforms to the design expectation.2. The water pump’s electromagnetic calculation program is programmed into computer program to simplify the calculation process. The influence on the motor performance of the motor stator and rotor sizes, slot number ratio, air gap width, stator wire’s diameter and stator core length are explored by this computer program.3. The water pump electromagnetic calculation program is embedded multi-objective optimization program. Choosing parameters that have significant effect on motor efficiency as optimization variables, such as power factor, starting current ratio, starting-torque-ratio and maximum torque ratio, the initial design scheme is optimized using multi-objective hybrid simulated annealing algorithm. The comparison is carried out also.4. The pump motor magnetic field distribution of the pump motor is obtained by two dimensional finite element analysis(FEA). The magnetic flux density waveforms of the stator and rotor teeth are obtained by the Fourier analysis; the results verify the rationality of the design scheme and the effectiveness of the optimization program.
