Coal resource is the important part of our energy production and consumption in china. Although its exploitation and utilization has promoted China’s rapid economic development, it also led to a series of environmental problems at the same time. At present, research on the influence of coal exploitation on the mining area environment and the approach to realizing green coal mine has become one of urgent attentions. This study used the method of empirical study, took the restoration measurement of Dayan, Baorixile and Yimin coal mine with similar geological type in Hulun buir city, Inner Mongolia as demonstration to study the influence of coal exploitation way (underground exploitation and surface exploitation) on the mining area environment and compared the model and methods of restoration of two exploitation types. This research work could provide basic accordance for the proposal and build of restoration model of two exploitation types and would have important practical significance for promoting the implementation of the green mine resources and the environment coordinated mining.
