| With the development of science and technology, sectors of the national economy are increasingly paying more attention to the quality and the using performance of the steel product. However, it is known to all that sulfur is a harmful element in steel which affects its quality and performance, thus the content of sulfur should be reduced to meet the requirement of steel making process. In recent years,the hot metal pretreatment has became the most economic and efficient desulfurizing method, which performs to be an inevitable and necessary process for steel making.At present, both methods of hot metal pretreatment, top spraying and mechanical mixing, have been realized in the steel making production enterprises, while the method of the hot metal ladle with bottom powder for desulphurization is still on test.Therefore, it is of considerable necessity to do numerical simulation of the hot metal ladle with bottom powder in order to choose the appropriate injection parameters.In the paper the hot metal ladle is 300 t.The calcium oxide distribution of the hot metal ladle with bottom powder is studied fundamentally by using Fluent software to simulate and calculate. Firstly, the appropriate blowing at the bottom of the position is confirmed by analyzing simulated results of the single slot plug located in the center of the bottom of the hot metal ladle injection and the double slot plugs are blown separately of different positions. Secondly, in the most suitable position of bottom blowing, the reasonable velocity is confirmed by analyzing simulated result of different velocities. Thirdly, the most suitable position of bottom blowing and velocity,the simulation of ratio of powder to gas is done and the results are analyzed.Finally got the right at the bottom of the injection parameters, it offers theoretical reference for the hot metal ladle with bottom powder applying in the actual production process.Through the numerical simulation study, the following main conclusions are obtained.When double slot plugs are blown separately of the hot metal ladle bottom radius 1/3ã€1/2ã€2/3 injection calcium oxide particles, double slot plugs are blown separately of the bottom radius 1/2 that calcium oxide particles distribution in the hot metal is the most ideal.The double slot plugs are blown separately of the bottom radius 1/2 and the calcium oxide particles injection velocities are separately 4ã€5ã€6ã€7m/s,so it concludes that the best velocity is 7m/s. |
