Green printing policy is put forward by the national the 12th Five-Year Plan, Among them, the alcohol free fountain solution is an important direction of green printing, alcohol free fountain solution, a new type of fountain solution, which is to use innocuous substance to replace the alcohol and get the alcohol fountain solution printing result. In this paper, the replacement of the material is to use one surfactant and 1,2-propylene glycol mixed to replace the alcohol and get a low surface tension of the fountain solution, this alcohol free fountain solution can achieve the effect of the alcohol fountain solution, which reduce the amount of fountain solution, reduce environmental pollution and ensure the health of employees, can be widely used in high speed multi color offset printing. The main task of this study is to select the appropriate surfactant, the surfactants and 1,2-propylene glycol were mixed and the mixed materials is a additive of the fountain solution, which is to replace the alcohol, is a better wettability and result, can be an alternative to alcohol fountain solution of a new model alcohol free fountain solution. The main content of this paper includes the following four parts:The first part:preliminary screening of surfactants. In this paper, through the analysis of many kinds of surfactants molecular structure, properties, performance, wettability principle, classification and application of, using surfactants of hydrophilic lipophilic balance values method of many kinds of surfactants of HLB value of calculation, summary and screening, select four surfactants can be mixed with 1,2-propylene glycol in a large number of surfactants,which is Tween 60, Sodium lauryl sulfate, Coconutt Diethanol Amide and alkanolamide. Through selecting four surfactants and testing the basic properties of the cloud point, kraff point, surface tension and critical micelle concentration and high cloud point, surface tension for the low critical micelle concentration and the printing of two kinds of surfactants (tween-60, sodium dodecyl sulfate) and 1,2-propylene glycol compound as the fountain solution additive.The second part:get the best amount proportion of 1,2-propylene glycol and surfactants.1,2-propylene glycol and tween-60, dodecyl sodium sulfate were mixed separately, testing the contact angle of complex systems, using mathematical statistics mathematical approach to nonlinear regression of the experimental data processing and analysis, the combined ratio of two substances and the corresponding regression equation of contact angle were obtained. Finally, using the linear programming to get the best proportion of synergy effect and get the amount of the main additive of the fountain solution.The third part:the choice of stabilizer, get the best proportion of stabilizer. In this paper, glycerol and Macrogol 400 is selected as a stabilizer, by uniform design test, then according to the experimental data, find out emulsifier stability good quality proportion, and ultimately the glycerol and Macrogol 400 best quality is 3:1.The fourth part:the preparation of 1,2-propylene glycol fountain solution and 10% alcohol fountain solution for printing. In this paper, Sodium oxalate and oxalic acid are used as a buffer for the preparation of buffer solution. Finally, get a result about the amount of a variety of additives in the 1,2- propylene glycol fountain solution, and compared with the preparation of the printing of 1, 2-propylene glycol fountain solution and 10% alcohol fountain solution.Results showed that,1,2- propylene glycol fountain solution applied to general printing, fine product printing needs further study.
