With coal users’ increasing attentions to the coal qualities and varieties, coal-washing appears more and more important. Developing coal-washing is conducive to improve the quality of coal products. At the same time, development of coal-washing skills can improve the utilization rate and save energy.This thesis first introduces the coal-washing status both here and abroad, analyzes the existing problems in coal-washing industry in China, and illustrates significance of PLC control system in Pingdingshan NO.8 Coal Mine. The author briefly expounds the principle and method of the dense-medium coal-washing and also introduces the coal-washing process in Pingdingshan NO.8 Coal Mine in detail.Second, this thesis analyzes schematic diagram of the electrical control system of coal-washing equipment. According to the total number of I/O points in the field devices and the specific requirements of the coal-washing technology,chooses PLC hardware and designs the coal-washing plant control system with a set of S7-300 PLC. The design of PLC control system includes four small control systems, namely the raw coal classification system, lump coal separation system, coal separation system and coal slime separation system. STEP7 programming software realizes the software programming of the control system.Finally, the author designs the PC monitoring system for coal-washing plant of Pingdingshan NO.8 Coal Mine, which selects the KingsCADA to develop the man-machine interface software and sets up connection between OPC server and S7-300 PLC via Ethernet. Subsequently, coal-washing plant control system in Pingdingshan NO.8 Coal Mine has been established, which achieves very high efficiency.
