Source apportionment of atmospheric particulate matter is an important way to understand the sources of pollutants in the atmosphere, Methods for studying the sources of particulate matter at home and abroad mainly include receptor model and emission inventory currently. The receptor model is developed on the basis of collecting samples and analyzing their chemical composition, commonly used receptor models include CMB, PMF, PCA, etc. Receptor model can be used to analyze the contribution of various pollution sources to the total amount of pollutants in the air, but which cannot calculate the total amount of pollutant emissions.Emission inventory method is on the basis of determining the study area and the baseline year, investing and studying on pollution sources, then classify and identify pollution sources in the area. Getting the activity rate and emission factor data for different pollution sources by field survey and literature investigation. According to the data obtained and calculation formula emissions of pollutants, Calculate the emissions and contribution rates of different pollutants sources. The method can quantify the pollution, under the premise of obtaining the higher accuracy of the calculation results, Emission inventory results can provide data support for the government and the environmental protection department to carry out environmental protection work and provide decision-making basis for solving the problem of air pollution. Jilin is an important chemical city in Northeast China. The industrial structure is mainly based on the second industry, there are many high energy consumption and high polluting enterprises in Jilin. The iron and steel and building materials industry account for a large proportion. With the accelerated process of urbanization, environmental problems have become increasingly prominent. In recent years, haze weather often occurs in the fall and winter seasons, PM2.5 become the primary pollutant. Fine particulate matter pollution has a certain impact on the development of the city and people’s life and health. Therefore, it is urgent to understand the pollution of fine particulate matter in the air environment of Jilin. This paper takes 2013 as the base year and Jilin City of Jilin Province as the study area. Carry out an investigation and research work of air fine particulate matter pollution source in Jilin. The source of pollution is divided into five categories: stationary combustion source, production process source, moving source, biomass burning source and dust source. Collecting and sorting out the data of the departments, fuel and products and so on. Statistic activity levels and emission factors of various pollution sources.Calculate the content of PM2.5 in the exhaust gas discharged from all kinds of pollution sources into the air with the calculation model of emissions. The calculation results show that the total amount of emissions of PM2.5 by all kinds of pollution sources to the atmospheric is 9.63 million tons. The emissions amount of PM2.5 by the stationary combustion source, production process source, moving source, biomass burning source and dust source is 2.55、3.21、0.38、2.61 and 0.88 million tons respectively, the contribution rate of various pollution sources is 27%,33%,4%,27% and 9%. Production process source is the main source of PM2.5 in the atmospheric environment of Jilin City.Uncertainty analysis of the emission inventory in two ways, one is by Monte Carlo. The uncertainty of stationary combustion source, production process source, moving source, biomass burning source and dust source is ±36%、±8.1%、±54%、±5.5%、±63%, respectively. Therefore, moving and dust sources are the main source of uncertainty. The second way is comparing the result of this paper with that of source apportionment of atmospheric fine particulate matter in Jilin City. The results show that the contribution rates of production process source and biomass burning source are higher in this paper, the contribution rates of moving source and dust source are lower in this paper.
