In the process of the use of lubricating oil, due to the temperature, friction and air oxidation or other reasons, so that the oil has deteriorated, aging, etc..When the use of lubricants to a certain time or deterioration to a certain extent, the need to replace the new oil.Replace the lubricating oil into the oil, if not dealt with and utilized directly discarded or burned. This is not only a waste of valuable oil resources, but also pollutes the environment.Oil as a non renewable resources, with the improvement of people’s environmental consciousness, the regeneration of waste lubricating oil has gradually become the focus of the study. In the early stage, the characteristics and modification methods of chitosan were summarized by consulting the literature and related materials, and the chitosan as a polymer natural flocculant was widely used in the treatment of sewage and other fields.Characterization of chitosan through analysis, it is known that chitosan has many active group, in particular, contain a large number of amino groups. These groups can better flocculation adsorption acidic impurities in the used lubricating oil, constitute the chitosan as a flocculant of waste lubricating oil removal acid material foundation.Firstly, the effect of Chitosan on the removal of waste lubricating oil was investigated.By single factor experiment and orthogonal experiment, obtained chitosan as a flocculant of waste lubricating oil removal acid conditions for optimization of the mixing time is 30 min, the chitosan investment quantity is 0.3g per 20 g waste lubricating oil), the reaction time is 6h, the reaction temperature is 40 DEG C.And it is proved that the mixing time has little effect on the flocculation and adsorption effect(in the case of the mixture of chitosan and waste lubricating oil), so that the appropriate time to reduce the mixing time can save manpower and material resources. Then, the chitosan and bentonite composite made of three kinds of different mass ratio of composite modified chitosan.Three kinds of composite modified chitosan were used in the treatment of waste lubricating oil, and the good effect of acid removal was obtained. The results showed that, under the same conditions, the dosage of chitosan was greatly reduced. At the same time, the chitosan and bentonite mass ratio of 1:10composite modified chitosan with respect to the other two kinds of mass ratio of composite modified chitosan treatment of waste lubricating oil has good effect of removing acid.In the relative optimization conditions, the reaction time was 6h, and the modified chitosan was only 4h.Through the composite modification of chitosan and chitosan were characterized by comparative analysis. The results show that by solution in layers were prepared by composite modified chitosan, due to the synergistic effect and synergism to of waste lubricating oil has good effect of deacidification. Finally, the chitosan modified with dilute alkali activation, modified chitosan, and used in the treatment of waste lubricating oil.The results show that the flocculation and adsorption of the modified product is much higher than that of chitosan.Under the same conditions, the activation of the modified chitosan dosage(0.2g/20 g waste lubricating oil chitosan(0.3g/20g) with respect to the waste lubricating oil) decreased, but the demand of temperature(50 DEG C) compared with chitosan(40 DEG C)increased.By analyzing results show that chitosan and characterization, activating and modifying chitosan with the original chitosan compared, although the group no big change, but the degree of crystallinity decrease, the degree of freedom to improve, so of waste lubricating oil off acid effect is better.
