The temperature change in fine ceramics firing process has the characteristics of nonlinear, time-varying and hysteresis. It is hard to obtain the accurate mathematical models and parameters, which brings great difficulties to control precisely. This paper focuses on how to control the temperature of the ceramic firing process more effectively, so that we can get the ceramic of best performance, and save energy at the same time.The present situation of temperature control system at home and abroad is studied in this paper. Then the temperature control system based on DSP is designed. The core of the system is DSP chip which is ADSP-BF506F.The system uses the output signal of DSP to control temperature by changing the heating power and use the thermocouple which is K type to detect temperature. The keyboard and LCD screen are used as the man-machine interactive interface. All of these constitute the closed loop temperature control system. The software VisualDSP++ that is an integrated environment is used to develop and debug. The source codes of most programs are edited with C language include analog to digital conversion and temperature measurement program, fuzzy PID algorithm program, LCD display program, etc. The mathematical model of temperature in ceramic furnace is established. The system is simulated by MATLAB when the controller is conventional PID controller and fuzzy PID controller respectively after given the detailed designed method of fuzzy PID controller. The results of simulation show that the fuzzy PID control can meet the control requirements with short adjustment time, small overshoot and small steady-state error and strong anti-interference ability.The temperature control system of fine ceramic processing furnace that is designed in this paper meets the needs of practical application with the simple structure, stable and reliable operation and high accuracy.
