The Research On Spatial Correlation Between Urban Functional Structure And Air Pollution In The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Urban Agglomeration

With the economic development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, accumulated a series of environmental problems in the process of urban development is a serious threat to the region’s sustainable development.Along with economic development the Chinese Government has formulated the related policies and measures on environment protection, especially to take measures to reduce air pollution. Based on literature review, this paper analyses the between urban functional structure and air pollution, by socioeconomic data and air pollution data.The socioeconomic data was used to establish urban functional indicators and to make urban functional classification. The air pollution data was turned into geographic information for spatial interpolation. Based on the data, the paper explores the effect of urban functional structure to the vary regular of time-space of air pollution in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Urban Agglomeration.Firstly, it expounds the economic environment background in the regional through the analysis of the location, function orientation, economic development, industrial development, energy, air quality. Secondly, to determine the evaluation index of function structure. Using the three elements of urban function as the evaluation index and calculating the value of the three elements of functions. Functional classification according to the three elements score of area. Thirdly, according to the spatial interpolation to analyze the air pollution data and to get each district and county air pollution characteristics of time and space. Finally, to analyze the relations between Urban Functional Structure and air pollution. Results showed that there is a subtle and complicated relationship between air pollution concentration and urban functional structure. Distribution of air pollutant concentration has certain correlation with the functional factors. But, the degree of correlation is different in each district and county at different functional features. Areas dominated by industry or tourism has a high correlation, other areas are not obvious According to the results can interpret from various angles and point out the deficiencies in the relationship between adjustment of city function and air pollution control. Combined with the actual situation, propose practical measures and recommendations.
