In recent years, with the rapid development of the economy of our country, all walks of life for the electricity demand also showed substantial growth, scale of power grid and grid pattern occurred significant changes, in addition to the people away from residential areas of the construction of 500 kV and above voltage level of substation, in some urban and rural areas built many of 110 kV,220 kV and 500 kV substation. The substation with lower voltage level is gradually connected with our life, and the electromagnetic radiation from the transformer substation is becoming more and more affected by the city’s enterprises, the mass production, the living and the living environment.A substation construction on the environment caused by the effects of electromagnetic radiation, according to the National Standard Specification for environmental impact assessment for power transmission and transformation project electromagnetic radiation, select the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region 3 union city has been built 110KV,220kV and 500kV different grades of substation of monitoring, research and analysis.The results of the study show that:the same voltage grade substation, interior stations around the power frequency electric field, power frequency magnetic field and radio interference intensity monitoring value lower than the outdoor station; at higher voltage levels, power frequency electric field, power frequency magnetic field and radio interference intensity monitoring value is higher. With the increase of the distance from the plant out of bounds in a certain direction, power frequency electric field, power frequency magnetic field and radio interference intensity monitoring value corresponding attenuation. The power frequency electric field, power frequency magnetic field and radio interference intensity which are caused by different grades of substation during normal operation are within reasonable limits, and have no influence on the surrounding environment. But when in substation construction and operation, generated by the power frequency electric field, power frequency magnetic field more than reasonable limit value will of pollution to the surrounding environment, threatening the human health, in order to prevent electromagnetic radiation impact on the surrounding environment and need to take relevant measures.
