Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) material is a kind of new organic-inorganic hybrid material. It is generally linked by specific metal ions or metal clusters with the organic ligands by strong coordination bonds. MOFs with periodic network structure are widely used in gas adsorption and separation, storage, catalysis, drug loading and other fields showing a good prospect. As a new type of porous solid material, it has been attracted by wide attentions and researches. However, due to its small size, poor selectivity, powder or bulk shapes, it was still limited in the application, so the synthesis of metal-organic framework composites and metal-organic framework particles have very important meanings.In this study, porous microspheres based on the metal organic frameworks ZIF-8 were obtained.1. Synthesis of ZIF-8@polymer composites materials. ZIF-8 crystals were generated on the surface and pores of macroporous spheres to obtain ZIF-8@SM-PGMA macroporous spheres. ZIF-8@SM-PGMA macroporous sphere is a new kind of porous materials with large surface areas and pores. They were detected by XRD, TEM, SEM, nitrogen adsorption and desorption. Compared to SM-PGMA, the surface areas of ZIF-8@SM-PGMA was improved from 34 m2/g to 172 m2/g and the average pore size was decreased from 14.24 nm down to 5.16 nm. Besides, the adsorption ability of ZIF-8@SM-PGMA microspheres was also tested by adsorbing phenol in water from 23 mg/g up to 53 mg/g and the adsorption capacity was improved by 130%.2. Synthesis and characterization of ZIF-8 hollow microsphere. One step synthesis of ZIF-8 hollow microspheres was obtained by using surfactant micelles as templates in aqueous solution. The scales of hollw microspheres are 200-300 nm with high yields. It was detected by XRD, TEM, SEM. Finally. In order to explore its application on the drug delivery, anti-cancer medicine 10-hydroxy camptothecin, paclitaxel and betulinic acid were successfully encapsulated in ZIF-8 hollow microsphere to obtain HCPT@ZIF-8, PTX@ZIF-8 and BA@ZIF-8 hollow microspheres. The scales of hollw microspheres are as large as 1 μm. By means of the determination of 10-hydroxy camptothecin, the drug loading capacity of the ZIF-8 hollow microspheres was as high as 10% wt.ZIF-8@SM-PGMA macroporous sphere and ZIF-8 hollow microspheres were successfully synthesized in this study. It has expanded the application of the metal-organic frameworks materials and provided basic foundation for its development.
