The increasing demand of high quality sheet material promotes the continuous improvement and development of the theory, technology,equipment and tools.The roll system is one of the most important parts of the rolling mill.The size of its structure rigidity determines the quality of the rolling sheet and strip.In addition,on the premise of meeting the demand of basic stiffness,all rolls are designed into hollow structure can not only save material,reduce the overall quality of the mill,but also easily to control the rolling temperature,improve the warm-rolling condition.It also has great significance for the research and application of the hollow roll in warm-rolling.Therefore, it is very important to study the roll system structure characteristics of the hollow roll.In this paper, four-high mill, I type six-high mill and X type six-high mill are used as research objects.The multi-physical field module in ANSYS finite element software is used as qualitative and quantitative analysis.The difference of the roll system stiffness between the structure of hollow roll with thermal-coupling field and the structure of solid roll with simple force field is analyzed.And the influence of dimensional change of the hollow roll structure and the change of temperature to the roll system structure characteristic is analyzed.Through the horizontal comparison between the three different types of rolling,which is four-high mill,I type six-high and X type six-high,and the longitudinal comparison between the same type of mill,the influence of the structure of hollow roll with thermal-coupling field to the roll system stiffness characteristic is obtained.The influence rule of dimensional change of the hollow roll structure to the roll system stiffness characteristic is obtained.So it is with the temperature.And the optimum aperture ratio of the three types of rolling mill are determined.The research results can provide date references for the selection of the type of mill in the production of sheet and strip, the analysis of the roll system structure characteristics of the rolling mill and the control and adjustment of the flatness.
