With the rapid development of information technology, the numerical control system of modern CNC machine tools has gradually developed to the open software. Open CNC system has become an important research direction of numerical control technology. In this paper, We research the open CNC system based on RTX, and the hardware structure of the computer is controlled directly by the software algorithm. It will be completed in the numerical control system of the hard real-time tasks. The software of open numerical control system is developed, which the special motion control card is unwanted. The open CNC system can reduce the hardware requirement of the numerical control system, and it is more favorable for the development of numerical control system. It enhances the generality of numerical control system.Firstly, this paper introduces the requirements of the numerical control system for real-time, analyzes the limitations of the Windows operating system in hard real-time, and determines the basic structure of Windows system and RTX real-time extension as the development platform of open CNC system.Secondly, based on RTX numerical control software, VC6.0 is integrated development environment(IDE), and the software architecture of open CNC system is established by using the method of modularization. Using multi thread to complete multi task processing,and then create shared memory to carry out communication between processes, and build a computer parallel port as control signal input and output interface of CNC hardware structure. It will complete open CNC software basic functions.Thirdly, in this paper, the method of data sampling is used to realize the real-time interpolation of multi axis linkage, and the discrete S control algorithm is proposed. The discrete velocity smooth processing of the high speed convergence is studied; Using the proposed discrete S-shape acceleration and deceleration control planning algorithm, the discrete velocity smoothing process of the high speed linking of the continuous small linesegments using circular arcs is studied, which makes the numerical control machine get higher accuracy and flexibility at high speed; Based on the theory of digital integral interpolation, the digital pulse transformation method is studied to realize the position control.Finally, we conduct some experiments on the CNC system software. We verify the function of each module, and complete the whole numerical control system software to verify the feasibility of the whole system, and analyze the results of the experiment.
