A Cycle Swing mechanism is a core part of the polishing head, the processing quality and productivity of the polishing head were directly affected by its performance. With the rapid development of China’s building materials industry, the bigger of the demand for vitrified tiles is growing, the higher of people’s demanding of ceramic tiles’ quality become increasingly, it can be found that the main factors influencing the quality of the tiles is polishing head’s structure and using performance through field research and synthesis of the literature, Currently, a cycle swing polishing movement mechanism achieved by polish head that used at home and abroad are using the cam roller pair structure. The mechanism’s performance is directly related to the processing production quality and efficiency of polished tile, The main factors that influencing the work performance of the mechanism directly depends on the structure design and the rationality of parameter selection, also closely related to the manufacturing quality of the core components—cam。 The polishing head of vitrified ceramic tile polishing machine was chosen as the research object, focus on researching and analysising of its cycle swing mechanism’s work performance, the main content are as follows:1. Based on analysising and researching of a polishing head’s work principle and working condition, the performance indicators of characteristics of the cycle swing mechanism was discovered, the main factors and related factors that influencing the work of cycle swing mechanism were confirmed.2. Aim at the structure characteristic of cycle swing mechanism by the analysising of the structure and working principle of polishing head, the theoretical design of the cam profile of the core components is carried out, and the parameters of the whole structure are optimized, The design principle, material selection method and processing technology of the core components are presented.3. The 3D solid model is established by using modern analysis、simulation software、classical mechanics and mechanical design theory, the core components of periodic oscillating mechanism are simulated and optimized, the results show that the model is accurate and reasonable, and its mechanism and parameter selection are scientific.
